About

Andrea Giesbrecht - RMT

I entered the fitness industry in 2007, originally planning for it to be a part-time venture while raising my family. More than 15 years later, my passion for holistic health and wellness continues to grow.

I had the privilege of owning a community-focused gym in Leduc for over 10 years before shifting my focus to massage therapy, with a special interest in sports therapy, injury rehabilitation, myofascial release (MFR), and deep tissue massage.

I am currently studying Manual Osteopathy and will graduate as a Manual Osteopath (MO) in 2027, at which time I will expand my services to include osteopathic treatment.

Services

Deep tissue massage

This massage therapy treatment style uses slow, firm pressure to work through deeper layers of muscle and fascia without the excessive discomfort often associated with traditional deep tissue massage. The gradual approach allows tissues to release more naturally, helping reduce tension, improve mobility, and relieve chronic muscular tightness while keeping the treatment comfortable and therapeutic.

Trigger point therapy

Trigger points are painful “knots” in your muscles that can be very sensitive to touch/pressure.

Trigger point therapy consists of finding the adhesion and using firm, steady pressure to release the affected area. Oftentimes when TP therapy is applied you can feel sensation in other areas of your body. This is called referred pain. The pain often is felt as shoulder pain, back pain, tension headaches and face pain and generally dissipates as the knot is released.

Myofascial Release (MFR)
Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion.

Relaxation Massage A relaxation massage is a smooth, gentle treatment that relieves tension, increases circulation, and promotes a general sense of well-being.
A deep tissue treatment can be intense. Adding a relaxation massage  to the end of your appointment is a nice way to fully unwind and leave feeling relaxed and restored.
